Our Mission

Building community through taiko performance and education in Northwest Ohio.

Our Values

We strive to create an inclusive and fun environment where we work together to promote the art of taiko.

Inclusivity

We believe that everyone should be able to have access to taiko regardless of age, race, gender, socioeconomic status or disability.

Respect

We strive to respect everyone that we interact with. We respect each other, our students, our rehearsal and performance spaces, and our audience.

Education

One of our goals is to share the art of taiko with our community. We do this through school events, festivals, and classes. We are all students and continue to learn from each other and the taiko community.

Community

We strive to build up taiko in our community, as well as be involved in the taiko community. Community builds connections and support.

Acknowledgement

Kazenodaichi Taiko would also like to acknowledge and honor the indigenous peoples who are the original stewards of the land where we drum.

This land is the ancestral home and trading grounds of the Bodéwadmi (Potawatomi), Kaskaskia, Kiikaapoi (Kickapoo), Lenape, Meškwahki·aša·hina (Fox), Mississauga, Myaamia (Miami), Ojibwe, Ottawa, Peoria, Sauk, Shawnee, Wabash, and Wyandotte tribes.
